Botanical collection
The tradition of floral textile design in Lyon.
This collection is part of a well-established Lyon history, since the Lyon School of Fine Arts saw the birth of the flower class to train silk designers, for almost 200 years.
The designs that we delicately create by hand, very often using gouache or watercolor, are part of the continuity of this historical know-how.
Our workshops are located in the immediate vicinity of the Jardin des Plantes, the first location of the botanical garden of Lyon which later became "Jardin de l'Impératrice", in homage to Joséphine de Beauharnais, the Parc de la Tête d'Or and the Musée des Beaux-Arts where floral painting was taught… all sources of inspiration from a bygone era which permeate our work.
It is in this history and tradition that the Botanical draws its richness.
