Inspiration

With this new creation imbued with exoticism and charm, we invite you on a journey through space and time to the heart of Japan.

Specifically in the Yoshiwara district of Edo (now Tokyo), famous in the 17th century for its artists and courtesans.

This composition, in which elegant women in kimonos intertwine in a vertical Japanese garden, reminds us of the flourishing creations of prints or ancient folding screens.

Japonisme had a considerable influence on the revival of applied arts; in particular, the discovery of ukiyo-e ("pictures of the floating world") in Edo was made, an art rich in representation with the magic of its own power of poetic evocation.

Like the Nabis who had a great interest in Japanese Art, we carry out this work of creation and armchair travel to share with you our inexhaustible enthusiasm for Art and for the diversity and richness of the different cultures that have existed since the dawn of time.
