Jean de La Fontaine - Toile de Jouy - Light Blue
"Jean de La Fontaine - Toile de Jouy - Bleu Clair" is an original creation © Le Presse Papier.
Inspiration
Aesop, Greek poet of the 7th century BC inspired the great Jean de La Fontaine to write his animal fables. Although written in classical French, they have not aged a bit to this day and each fable still teaches its own moral and invites reflection. For this new creation and these drawings in the style of an old drypoint engraving, we have chosen a composition in scenes characteristic of the emblematic Toile de Jouy . The fables of La Fontaine have been illustrated many times, among others by Baptiste Oudry and Gustave Doré in the 18th century or more recently by the excellent Benjamin Rabier and even Chagall... You will find here our vision for The Raven and the Fox, The Hare and the Tortoise, The Cicada and the Ant, The Wolf and the Lamb, The Oak and the Reed, The Lion and the Rat; inexhaustible source of the French spirit, they will delight the young as well as the old. The model is also available in 7 different colors.
