In the plethora of works by Félix Vallotton, how can one not be captivated by the famous series of woodcuts Intimacies, produced in only 30 copies for a portfolio of the Revue Blanche and destroyed in 1898 by the artist himself in order to guarantee its exclusivity and value.
An exceptional example of the culmination of the art of the unspoken, an absolute emblem of Vallotton's graphic technique, we are today particularly proud to pay tribute to the uncanny strangeness and profound beauty of his work, delicately restoring the deep, velvety blacks of his woodcuts.
