Stripes Textile & Wallpaper
History of a timeless pattern
Stripes, lines, strokes... the stripe expresses itself in various ways. An essential element in 20th century art and research around abstraction, a strong symbol in the medieval era since it was worn by anyone considered "unfrequentable", later the stripe kept its iconoclastic aura but with a more positive tone, imbued with freedom and fantasy.
As elements of wall decoration, stripes impose a dynamic and graphic style. Modern, both chic and timeless, they are in turn English classics, inviting you to take a walk on the Planches de Deauville or celebrating the beach cabins of Saint Nazaire in M. Hulot's Holidays.
It's a whole imaginary evoking simple elegance, old-fashioned holidays but also a rich history that we summon with our striped creations.
