Inspiration

Artist name of an exotic dancer who also became a spy during the First World War, the word “ Mata Hari ” evokes the entire universe of an imaginary and inspiring Orient. This creation pays homage to the European enthusiasm for oriental cultures (India, Arab, Japanese, Maltese) which strongly influenced the fields of creation in the past. The pattern is inspired by Indian fabrics, these cheerful and colorful fabrics which developed and spread in Europe thanks to the maritime routes discovered between the East and the West. A meeting point between the cultures of these two continents, the Indian symbolizes one of the forms of the desire for exoticism and the taste for a refined and captivating elsewhere. In our creation Mata Hari, a flowery fresco is created entirely in arabesque and dotted lines. Bright colors reveal every detail of the gouache and create a harmonious whole. The result is a rich and elaborate composition; with the scent of reverie that takes us to invented India…

High resistance to abrasion, for durable, high-quality furnishing textiles

Our textile products are tested using the Martindale , which allows us to evaluate the abrasion resistance of a fabric over time. This is particularly useful for choosing a fabric that will be used often: armchair seats, sofa covers, cushions, etc. This test is expressed in number of revolutions (the Martindale machine rotates while rubbing the fabric), and for example, the French furniture standard is 10,000 Martindale revolutions for sofa coverings.
