Notre-Dame – Rose
Collection Tradition"Notre Dame – Rose" is an original creation © Le Presse Papier.

Inspiration
Our exclusive Notre-Dame creation celebrates an event destined to mark our era and pays homage to one of the most iconic monuments of our heritage. Hand-drawn by us in the style of an engraving, this canvas featuring figures honors the rebirth of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris.
This contemporary creation with classical accents is part of the narrative universe of the iconic Toile de Jouy in the manner of the great events illustrated by this means in the 18th century such as the flight of the first gas balloon from the Louvre to Gonesse in 1783.
It celebrates the building but also the women and men whose exceptional skills and commitment made its rebirth possible.
In a masterfully balanced composition, a harmonious dialogue unfolds between classical scrolls, emblematic details of the cathedral, and contemporary figures of craftsmanship. This renewal is expressed through a generous blossoming, adorning each scene and bringing the motif to life.
As the pattern unfolds, different scenes follow one another, like so many fragments of a story in motion.
