Les Soyeux – Green Blue – Scale 200%
Collection Tradition“Les Soyeux – Grand” is an original creation © Le Presse Papier .
Inspiration
All our creations are drawn by hand by our team coming from the traditional Lyon textile industry. “Les Soyeux” model was made with black and white felt-tip pen, in an antique style. This creation highlights the district of Croix-Rousse in Lyon, famous for its historic textile production. “Les Soyeux” offers an overview of the urban characteristics of this district; at the bottom of the hill line up the imposing luxurious trading houses while at the top we can see the famous narrow canut houses where silk fabrics were produced and even recognize Fort Saint Laurent, an emblematic monument. Our workshops, located since 2012 at the bottom of the slopes of Croix Rousse hill, wanted, through this model, to pay homage to this specific district but also to the many talented craftsmen which allowed Lyon to become capital of Silk.
