Inspiration

The “Maïko 1920” model draws its delicate simplicity from Japanese philosophy and tradition, notably the arts of printmaking but also ikebana, the art of floral arrangement (literally “the way of flowers”). The finesse of the hand-drawn design, all in lightness, is a silent homage to the beauty of the present moment, ephemeral and precious. Slowly, the undulating lines seem to come to life, for the pleasure of the eyes. As if, in this alternation of empty and full spaces, the patterns inspired by nature outlined a discreet dance step. In a library, a living room or a bedroom, Maïko opens everyday life to another dimension where the changing facets of our interior landscapes can finally unfold. Like an invitation to calm the mind... To take the time to see the emotions born, slowly, on the surface of this plant composition.

High resistance to abrasion, for durable, high-quality furnishing textiles

Our textile products are tested using the Martindale , which allows us to evaluate the abrasion resistance of a fabric over time. This is particularly useful for choosing a fabric that will be used often: armchair seats, sofa covers, cushions, etc. This test is expressed in number of revolutions (the Martindale machine rotates while rubbing the fabric), and for example, the French furniture standard is 10,000 Martindale revolutions for sofa coverings.
