Inspiration
Our creation “Alice 1927” pays homage to the work and floral hand of the painter Raoul Dufy who for 20 years, at the dawn of the 20th century, created more than 3000 drawings for the Lyon textile company Bianchini-Férier . Flowers, animals, oriental inspirations but also references to his protean artistic creations such as the woodcuts illustrating the Bestiary of Apollinaire, permeate his work, reflecting the taste of the time for modern clothing, in movement, which tends to erase the disparities between the social classes, although this remains illusory.
The participation of contemporary artists in textile creation is indicative of the desire that manufacturers have to highlight the creativity of the designs in the same way as the quality of the fabric.
Round, stylized flowers make up an elegant bouquet about to bloom. A country and retro atmosphere that easily matches any room in the house. 3 distinct colors.
