Freshness and lightness of plant motifs

Entirely hand-painted with gouache, the wallpapers in this collection feature vibrant patterns in bright, tangy tones. The spring-like, whimsical hues of the Boléro design bring lightness and freshness, while the more complex and graphic Badamier and Sugar Apple designs play on the contrasts between blocks of color and subtle line work. In all these designs, color is used for its expressive qualities, reminiscent of the work of the Nabis.

The spirit of Cézanne, but also of Vuillard, seems to breathe life into the motifs of this collection with its true authenticity: we find the simplification of forms, the patinas, the flat planes and the perspective deliberately left aside.
