Know-how and technique
High quality know-how, from creative process to manufacturing
Design and graphic creation
As wallpaper and textile designers, we draw all our patterns and collections traditionally by hand (gouache, pencil, watercolor, etc.) and also digitally. It is also a team made up of an artistic director and 4 designers from historic Lyon textile workshops, heirs of a great silk , also working for certain major Haute-Couture houses for many years. Our patterns are worked with rigor, creativity and elegance.
Color work is fundamental for us and each collection offers carefully crafted colorful variations. This essential work helps our workshops to stand out.
We are part of a CSR – corporate social responsibility
Labels, prizes and distinctions
– Some of our creations are included in the permanent collections of the French Wallpaper Museum of Rixheim
– We are proud and happy members of the Wallpaper History Society
– Our workshops are labeled Imprim’Vert
Made in Lyon label , a guarantee of our know-how, its authenticity and promoting the proximity of our supplies. Made in Lyon Label is synonymous with excellence. It constitutes a reference for Lyonnais and visitors looking for quality products, designed and manufactured on French territory .
Manufacturing – High quality printing
Our Lyon workshops are equipped with the latest generation machines guaranteeing solvent-free and very high quality printing.
We place increased demands on the quality of our printed matter (colorimetric profiles, regular calibrations, control of chromatic variations) and the choice of our supports.
The non-woven wallpapers on which we print are made in France and England, and each meet the Euro class and M1 fire classification criteria (+ other certificates) and are recyclable .
The cuts are made by hand with great precision.
We pay particular attention to the stability of our production and realize systematic quality control. Due to the printing technologies and the successive baths necessary for the production of Wallpaper:
– Each production as distinct batches
– Each batch is individually controlled
– Color shades may vary depending on each batch (5% movement possible)
– Dimensional deformation tolerances between batches can be of 0.5mm over 1000mm
– It is therefore preferable to check the quantities you need and order your strips in one go.
Ecology
Since its creation, Le Presse Papier has been committed to a responsible and environmentally friendly approach. Labeled Imprim'Vert , our workshops meet demanding specifications each year in order to best respond to current environmental issues.
Our prints do not contain any solvents thanks to Latex technology.
Our papers are recyclable.
All parts of the printing process are recycled (ink cartridges, print heads, paper, cardboard)
Le Presse Papier chose a 100% green local energy supplier, renewable energy produced by small installations while respecting the environment.
