Inspiration
Since 2023, our archives have been enriched. We collect, restore and edit period documents in addition to our creations. We are proud to present this new restoration to you here. Patient and meticulous work of raising, matching and coloring allows this 19th century gouache grisaille to regain its former glory today.
The grisaille technique, borrowed from painting, allows the pattern to emerge in shades of gray, going from white to black, creating the illusion of decorations sculpted in bas-relief, highlighted here by backgrounds offering 5 colorful variations.
Putti, exotic birds and flowers straight from the imagination and scrolling foliage take shape to breathe a Neo-Renaissance style into your interior.
