French ecological wallpaper
Nature is an infinite source of inspiration , you will find it on a large number of our products, for example on our floral patterned wallpapers . It is therefore obvious for us to limit our impact on the environment as best as possible , while of course guaranteeing optimal printing quality. Find out in detail how we work towards this objective, through different approaches.
A responsible choice of raw materials:
Our wallpapers are printed on two recyclable : Textured linen-look non-woven, and matt, smooth PVC-free non-woven. They both offer great technical qualities, allowing very high precision printing with solvent-free inks, as well as great resistance and ease of installation at a professional level. These two supports are manufactured in England and Germany, guaranteeing compliance with European environmental and social standards, as well as a reasonable transport distance .
The matte and smooth non-woven in particular is a quality PVC-free wallpaper , ideal for use as wallpaper in a bedroom for example.
Printing is carried out on high-precision machines using water-based, solvent-free and odor-free HP Latex inks . This also allows us to work pleasantly without special ventilation. These inks are UL ECOLOGO® and UL GREENGUARD GOLD certified .
Recyclability
All parts of the printing process are recycled (ink cartridges, print heads, paper, cardboard)
Energy
Le Presse Papier chose a 100% green local energy supplier, renewable energy produced by small installations while respecting the environment.
Printing on demand
For various reasons, we only print on demand . This practice allows us to guarantee optimal quality, and to offer unique wallpapers at reasonable prices. From an ecological point of view, this also avoids any waste of unsold production as some generalists may have, as well as the maintenance of a warehouse (particularly in terms of energy). Note that we still maintain very fast production times (manufacturing within 24 hours to 72 hours after order).
In addition, we print our 62cm strips on 127cm reels, allowing us to considerably reduce paper waste by losing only 3cm of recyclable material, which remains necessary for printing margins and for a perfect cut.
Management of our Imprim'vert certified production
Our printing workshop is Imprim'Vert certified , a reference in the world of printers which guarantees responsible management of our production.
To obtain this label, we must comply with the following criteria: – Dispose of our hazardous waste in a compliant manner (packaging, rags, ink residue, etc. But also electrical and electronic waste).
– Secure the storage of dangerous liquids (to avoid any accidental spillage)
– Do not use toxic products
– Raise awareness among our staff and customers about respecting the environment
– Monitor our energy consumption each quarter
