Hand-painted with a deliberately naive and coloured style, this model evokes both the 1950s and the taste for tropical exoticism, while paying homage to the very rich repertoire of forms published by the German biologist Haeckel, who, far beyond a compendium listing marine riches, offers an inexhaustible repertoire of very inspiring forms and colours.
Water Plant 1955 differs from Water Plant 1957 in its more intimate character.
