Zoo Art Show: The VIP Suite

Around fifty renowned artists, from different fields of urban art, leaving their mark in a 600 m² industrial building in transition. Two huge stages host original works on their walls, taking advantage of the architecture of the place. This is the unique project organized by Folks, from June 2 to July 31, under the name of Zoo Art Show .

The VIP suite, an annex space reserved for privatizations, features a bourgeois apartment in destroy chic style. Designed by Nathalie Rives & Le Presse Papier , it is furnished with a selection of designer furniture from the 50s, 60s and 70s, in pop and tangy colors. The walls are adorned with the colors of our partner Ressource , in harmony with 7 designer wallpapers very representative of our collections: Plant and tropical atmospheres, graphic patterns, reissue...

Destroy chic: Create a surprise

In line with this unique and surprising exhibition, the VIP suite, although it does not include any street art work, is no less original and strong in contrast. The cracked ceiling, left as it is, recalls the ephemeral duration of the installation and contrasts sharply with the very classic characteristics of the bourgeois apartment: fireplaces, high ceilings, herringbone parquet floors, etc.

On the walls, the wallpaper combinations chosen by Nathalie Rives are also unexpected: Flamingo rubs shoulders with Acapulco Olive, Caribbean Nuit shares a wall with Afro Triangle Céladon, whose very graphic patterns overlook a typically Haussmannian fireplace... The vintage mirrors create dialogues between the different walls, and old portraits bring their totally offbeat touch.

Nathalie Rives, interior stylist

After studying communications in Paris, Nathalie Rives lived in Buenos Aires and New York. Enriched by these different cultures, she settled in Lyon upon her return to France and opened her design gallery while offering her talents as an interior stylist. Eclecticism, promotion of artisanal know-how, attention to detail, originality... These few words can describe Nathalie's personal approach in various projects: Publisher and gallery owner of furniture, creator of colors for the Ressource house, and of course stylist for the creation and renovation of hotels, restaurants, apartments, etc. in France and abroad.

“I have great respect for the artisanal work of the upholsterers, gilders, tailors, cabinetmakers, painters, without whom we, decorators, would only be conductors of an orchestra without musicians. »

With this philosophy, the collaboration between Nathalie Rives and Le Presse Papier seemed obvious!
